'Not Just a Pretty Face' -- Suits 4x16
Warning: Spoiler Alert
I kind of wish that I could say that it was a surprise that Harvey refused to expand on telling Donna that he loved her (and acknowledge what he actually meant by it), or that she decided that she was going to be Luis's secretary, but the writers seem to have been building up to that for a while (both that Harvey wasn't going to act on any feelings that he might have for Donna, as well as Donna starting to work for Luis).
There is a part of me that hopes that now that Donna is going to be working for Luis that Harvey will actually act on how he feels for her (since there won't be any messy "you're my secretary and my SO" thing going on), but I still don't see it happening. I get the feeling that what will probably happen is that he will do something significant that will convince Donna to start working for him again, and the two of them will end up back in a status quo (so that we can have the dynamic of the top lawyer and the top assistant kicking ass and taking names together). I really hope that that isn't what's going to happen. I have the feeling that Donna and Luis would make a fantastic team together, and Luis would give her the appreciation that she wants from a boss (in that he will tell her how much she means to her as well as showing her), and I have a feeling that Donna will be really good for Luis (not just as a friend, but as someone who will look out for him and do her best to make sure that he doesn't do something stupid). I'm looking forward to seeing the two of them work together in an official capacity, since I'm sure it's going to be entertaining.
I'll also admit to the fact that I kind of want to see Harvey scramble to try and replace Donna. I want to see him struggle without her and have it thrown in his face how much he really loves her, and how much he wants her to be the SO (even if he does appreciate her, even though he doesn't say the things that he feels). But even if he does realize how awesome she is, I get the feeling that a part of him has been taking her for granted, assuming that she would always be there, and that she would never leave him (despite knowing that she's in love with him, and that she would like something more from him). It would be really nice to see him get shaken up over her and have it force him into action (especially since he usually has such an easy time when it comes to women).
Good on Harvey and the kids figuring out how to take down Forsman, cuz the guy was a smarmy git, and I will be kind of glad to not have him hanging around anymore causing trouble (or giving people someone to go to when they want to play at being Faust). And yes, I am counting what the kids did as part of what led to Forsman getting his ass handed to him, since it was their work that eventually led to Harvey getting himself wired up and having Forsman talk too much and get himself caught. You would think by now that bad guys would realize that you don't talk too much about the bad things that you have done, cuz it will only end up getting you in trouble. Apparently, not enough of them have watched old movies where that happens all. the. time.
And finally getting an actor that is the face of Harvey's brother! I would love to know a bit more about his family dynamic through flashbacks, but I think that they're doing a good job with stringing that information out a bit, since it's probably what is making me more interested his life from when he was younger.

'Intent' -- Suits 4x15
Warning: Spoiler Alert
OMG!! I am so glad that it looks like Donna isn't about to be written off the show, since I need to have Donna in my life. She is everything that is good and awesome in the world, and that is no lie. I am not sure how much I would have continued to enjoy the show if Donna had been written off of it, since she is so thoroughly awesome.
Her relationship with Harvey ... holy hell. The two of them really need to get on the same page about stuff, since that would make things so very much easier on everyone. It's not likely to get any more touchy feely between the two of them than what it is now, since that's just now how they roll, but it would be nice if they could actually say what they mean without any hang-ups getting in their way (but their hang-ups are part of the reason why they are so awesome at what they do, and why I love them both). The thing is that I think that if she hadn't been so scared that she was about to go to prison, she probably would have seen what Harvey was doing, and she wouldn't have needed him to actually tell her that everything was going to be ok (but he was scared, so she did need to hear those words from him ... and I think that if he wasn't so scared that she might go to prison, he might have been more able to see that she needed to hear the words from him that she got from Luis).
And the fact that he kept saying through the episode about how she was different than everyone else ... in normal circumstances, that would have been a throwaway comment, but in this instance it wasn't. The way that this episode was played made those comments add even more weight (or a different weight) to him telling her that he loved her at the end of the episode. In a different episode (where her whole life might not have been ruined by what was going on in the episode), him telling her that he loved her might have been brushed off as him having a rare moment of showing feelings for a bestie (and someone that he knew that he could trust), but with those comments from earlier (and how scared he was that he might be able to protect her like he wanted to), him telling her that he loved her ... I kind of wish this would mean that the two of them would get together, but I have the feeling that the writers are going to go no farther than acknowledging that the two of them really are in love with each other, but because of how well they work together, they aren't going to ruin their working relationship to complicate it with a personal relationship.
I can't seem to make myself care about the fact that Jeff quit, since he outlived his usefulness to the show. The guy really only should have lasted a few episodes, but it was his relationship with Jessica that saved him from getting canned. He wasn't really adding anything to the show as one of the attorneys (since we didn't see him do much of anything after his initial few episodes). And after a while, his scenes were a bit too repetitive (him getting upset that Jessica wouldn't tell him what was really going on, and her being cagey about it); there's really only so many times that you can rehash that one scene before you have the character branch out in some other direction, or you write him/her off.

'Derailed' -- Suits 4x14
Warning: Spoiler Alert
What is it with this show and giving tertiary characters that are involved with primary characters the axe as soon as they either find out about Mike, or edge up to finding out about Mike? First Scotty, and now Jeff. Sure, I wasn't all that interested in having the Jeff aspect of Jessica's storyline (not only their romance, but her being conflicted about telling him) be the primary arch that her character was involved in, but that doesn't mean that I didn't want her to have him in her life (if she could have opened up to him a little bit more, which I know was hard for her, I have a feeling that the two of them could have had a pretty solid relationship).
Stupid Mike, and his secret.
I know that it wasn't something that Luis had done on purpose, since sometimes he just isn't thinking about what he's saying and how it will come back and bite him (or someone else) in the ass, but I kind of want to shake him ... just a little bit. Not a whole lot, like I've wanted to before, when he was being a jerkface on purpose; just a little to make him think about what he's saying. Live the lie, bro.
That isn't to say that Jessica probably shouldn't have told Jeff what was going on before now, but since Luis knew that there was the lie there ... urgh! But I'll completely admit to being like Jessica with the keeping things very close to the vest, until sometime down the road (if I ever say anything about it), so that may be a bit why I'm kind of frustrated with him for not thinking about what he was saying so that she could tell Jeff when she was ready; not that I don't completely think that Jeff was right to be angry when he found out that she had lied to him, cuz he had every right to be.
Donna!! Donna!! Donna!! She really should have known better than to go down there and pretend to be someone that she wasn't, and that she had asked for copies of records that she hadn't asked for. She's worked in a law office long enough that doing something like that should have been a big no no ... even if the boys skirt around the law sometimes to get what they need. But you would have thought that she would have learned her lesson that time when her signature was forged on that paperwork, and she got fired. Her heart was in the right place (not only as far as Mike was concerned, but also with those people that were killed), but she still should have known that doing something like that could come back to bite her in the ass (she's Donna after all). I just hope that this isn't a way to write Donna off of the show, since I love her so. I would be beyond sad if she left the show; I'd be down right disgruntled. No lie.

'Fork in the Road' -- Suits 4x13
Warning: Spoiler Alert
Is it just me, or does the guy who plays Mike look kind of like Chris Hardwick? It may have a little more to do with the fact that their both skinny, the general shape of their faces, and the way they do their hair more than anything else; but as I was watching this episode, I don't know why it struck me so strongly that they kind of look like each other inside of my head.
So, now we have a little bit of an explanation of where the bad blood came from between Harvey and Luis ... other than just that Harvey is kind of a bully, and Luis is kind of a jackass (and that the two of them are too different to really be great friends, without there being some kind of common ground between them, and the two of them really wanting to be friends (and both consciously working at it)). Yeah, the two of them have been able to make the peace with each other in the past, but they are so different from each other (their personalities, their interests, their motives ...), I don't see it ever really becoming easier for them as far as being friends is concerned; it seems like it's always going to be an uphill battle for them, and they're always going to have to make a conscious effort to at least be civil with each other.
I'm so glad that Daniel isn't a regular on the show anymore. It was good having him as an antagonist for a while (and maybe again every once in a while in a flashback episode), but if he were a series regular, I think I'd be hoping that a comet would crash into the building, or something. The guy makes me want horrible things to happen to him (cuz of how much of a horrible person he is).
Another person I am glad isn't a regular on the show anymore? Trevor. There's another one that makes me want to bitchslap him upside the head. Yeah, it was a flashback episode, so there was going to be some Trevor in it, but ... I really could do without him; the guy was bad news.
But it was awesome to see Grammy again!! Oh, how I missed her!! It sucks so much that they killed her off, and I really wish that they hadn't. I can see how the writers may have thought that there was only so much that they could have done with her character, and they were possibly wanting to create some great tension within the story by killing her off, but ... she was such a great character, and I wish she could have stayed (and not just cuz she was good for Mike to have around, and I lived the interactions between Mike and Grammy).
So, now we've gotten some forgiveness for Mike from Luis. Maybe now Luis can get on board with being a secret keeper, and he won't keep lashing out at everybody about how they kept it from him (even though it was kind of stupid to think that they would have just come out and told him, and if he really thought about it, he would have understood why they would have not wanted that many people to know about it ... despite being friends with Mike). Now that he's on board, I can see him being a great secret keeper, since it seems like as soon as he decides that he's going to go all in, he is all in and does whatever he can to make sure that things are taken care of. And hopefully now he can be friends with the others again. Sure, he makes things hard for other people when it comes to being friends with him, but they are his friends, and I hope that he sees that. I don't like it when they have huge fights like that, and not just cuz it alienates Luis from everyone else.

'Respect' -- Suits 4x12
Warning: Spoiler Alert
Wow, the secret about Mike really isn't getting kept all that well, is it? People who weren't part of the inner circle (of Mike, Harvey, Donna, Rachel, and Jessica) were going to start figuring things out eventually, but now we've had Luis and the ethics professor both figuring it out within a few episodes of each other ... and it doesn't seem like it's going to be all that long from now before Jeff is going to start putting things together as well. He may seem kind of satisfied with the answer for what was being kept from him that he's gotten from Jessica (especially now with Luis backing her lie), but at some point, I get the feeling that he's going to become suspicious about what's really going on as well; at least, that's the way things seem like they're going to go with the way that the writers are setting things up.
I wonder how just how much Luis is going to be willing to stop being such a jerk to everyone around him, and for how long it's going to last. It's only going to go so far, and last for so long, only cuz of the nature of how Luis reacts to things. Since we've had flashbacks with Harvey, Mike, and the company, I'd really like to have at least one flashback that dealt a little more with Luis. Sure, he's just on the outskirts of being on the A Team of the show, and those are the ones who tend to get the flashbacks, but I want to know what may have happened to him in his past that may have caused him to have the reactions that he does to things. I get the feeling that there had to've been something that happened to him ... probably a long series of somethings that happened that made him start reacting that way to protect himself from getting hurt by other people. It doesn't really help him all that much, but there has to be something there that would make it make sense (I'm sure of it).
I'm not sure that Harvey and Luis are ever going to be cool with each other, but I would love it if he got his relationships with Donna and Rachel back. The two of them really do care about him; I wish that he could just see that, it would make things so much better/easier for everyone.

'Enough is Enough' -- Suits 4x11
Warning: Spoiler Alert
Show is back!! I thought it wasn't coming back until the spring! Oh, "Suits," how I've missed you.
I'm glad that Luis isn't gone forever, cuz I've always enjoyed having his character around (even if he is a jerkface who needs someone to shake him until his teeth rattle every once in a while). And I'm even more glad that Jessica figured out a way to make sure that he stopped trying to get revenge on everyone for not telling him about Mike (and not realizing that it wasn't a personal affront upon him that they were trying to keep the secret on the DL). Luis does strike me as the type of person who takes every little slight as a personal affront to him, even when it's not, and who will drive everything into the ground cuz of it if someone doesn't do something final about it to make him stop.
I'm not the biggest fan of Rachel (she tends to kind of irritate me), but I was not at all cool with the things that Luis said to her about lying to him (especially when he started bringing her family into it). Not cool, bro, not cool. But good on her to try to do something good for Katrina, to make sure that homegirl landed on her feet once it became clear that there was no way that Jessica was going to allow her to come back (no matter how much Luis tried to strong-arm his way into getting her back).
And I'm really happy about the fact that all of the drama with Luis figuring out what was going on didn't get dragged out for several episodes. By around the time that the episode was about half-way over, I was already ready for the drama to be at an end, and for them to figure out some other thing to have the characters go through; if they had had any more episodes with Luis throwing his tantrum, I think that I may have started to get frustrated with the show (which would have been a first for this one, since I don't really have a whole lot to complain about where this show is concerned).
As far as Luis becoming a named partner, I know that this is something that he's wanted since the show first started, but I wouldn't be surprised if the writers did something so that Luis found out that it wasn't everything that he wanted, or thought that it was going to be. It feels like he wanted it cuz of the sense of accomplishment that it would give him, but the way that he went about getting it ... I don't know if he's going to have the feeling of being as accomplished as he thought he might have (since he didn't really earn it; as Jessica said, he strong-armed his way into getting his name up there). I wouldn't be surprised if there was an undercurrent of resentment from the others cuz of the way that he went about things (there already seems to be all kinds of animosity for him cuz of it), and if he didn't start feeling the effects of it.
Oh, Jessica. Why can't you tell homeboy the truth? For a second, I almost thought that she was going to tell her piece of stuff about what was going on with Mike. Sure, it's kind of out of character for her to tell anyone anything, but it had been slammed in her face that the secret was hers' as well, and she has said that she was going to have to accept the fact that she was a part of Mike's secret as well. Sure, it would have meant another person who knew about what was really going on with Mike ... someone that we don't really know all that well, but things would probably have been better between the two of them if she had been willing to tell him what was going on. But I have the feeling that he will probably be the next person who will be brought in on the secret, if only cuz Jessica has kind of cozied up to almost telling him, and she looked guilty for not telling him everything. This doesn't mean that I necessarily think that this means he's going to last on the show, since Harvey told Scotty, and she's gone now (so, it doesn't mean that he's going to be a series regular).

'No Way Out' -- Suits 3x16
Warning: Spoiler Alert
While taking the other job would save Mike a whole hell of a lot of aggravation, I don't see how the writers would be able to keep the show going if they took Mike out of the equation as a lawyer. The whole thing that they were basing the premise of the show on was that Mike was faking being a lawyer and the others were covering for him. Granted, there's only so far that they're going to be able to go with the show before they have to change things up somewhat, but ... I just wish that I could see right now how they could make the show work without Mike being part of Pearson Spector. But then, there's always the possibility that they're just trying to wind us up so that we come back for the next season by trying to make us think that Mike is really going to be leaving forever.
I don't know yet if I like the idea that Harvey told Scotty what was really going on. Yeah, he wanted to be honest with her, but ... I don't trust that one day it wouldn't slip out of her if she got pissed off enough. Sure, it would put Mike, Donna, and Jessica up the creek in addition to Harvey (who would probably be her real target if she let that information out), but I don't know that she would necessarily care. Granted, she has kept her mouth shut about things in the past, so it's entirely possible that she may be able to keep this to herself (even without Harvey's reassurance to Donna that she will).
I did appreciate the fact that Luis jumped right in and started helping without knowing all of the details of what was going on, cuz of his loyalty to the people in the firm. Sometimes I want to shake the hell out of him, but then, there are times like this when I want to pinch the hell out of his cheeks for being a good guy (and not letting his peoples go down for stuff ... even if they completely did the thing that they are being accused of).
Another person that I want to shake the hell out of? Rachel. It's true that I like Mike with her a lot better than that chick that was his friend's ex-girlfriend (from back in season one ... but whose name I am completely blanking on), cuz the two of them seem to be better for each other than Mike and what's her face, but there are seriously times when I just want to shake Rachel. Whether or not she might have cause to get pissed with Mike, the fact that pretty much everything gets her pissed at him has become kind of tiresome (and make me wonder if the writers went to the School of JK Rowling Writing Romantic Relationships, cuz let's fact it, that's pretty much how she wrote relationships ... they weren't truly in love unless they were constantly bickering with each other). Then again, I wanted to shake Harvey and Scotty for pretty much the same exact thing, since the two of them seemed to constantly be bickering despite having the hots for each other.

'Know When to Fold 'Em' -- Suits 3x15
Warning: Spoiler Alert
Oh, boys. Why can't they just tell each other what they are actually thinking and feeling? It would make things so much easier for both of them ... and would make things a billion times easier on Donna (since it would mean that she wouldn't get yelled at every time that she had to go in and explain things to them). The two of them just need to tell each other that they completely love each other, and get it over with (cuz we all know that it's true. The two of them have a legit bromance going on over there).
On one level, I'm really glad that Mike decided that he wasn't going to leave the firm, since he and Harvey need to never, ever break up (and without Mike working as a lawyer, there isn't much of a show); but the fact that he did exactly what Harvey had been telling him all of this time that he shouldn't be doing, I can't see that anything good is going to come from it. But I have the feeling that the preview for the finale is going to turn out kind of like the preview for "Heartburn," where they're trying to make us think that one thing is going on, but when the episode actually premiers, we'll find out that something else entirely happened. The preview makes it look like we're supposed to believe that Mike has finally been caught (probably from going in and making it look like he passed the bar), but I have a feeling that it's going to end up being something else entirely. Of course, it's going to be something that Harvey was also involved with and privy to, but I really don't think that it's going to be what they want us to think that it is.
As much as they've kind of been dancing around having Harvey tell Scotty what's been going on with Mike (like they did with Mike and Rachel), I really don't want him to tell her. It's not just that I don't trust her not to say something to the wrong person (out of her own self interest), or that this exactly the same as when Harvey kept telling Mike not to tell Rachel about what had been going on, I still really think that the less people that know about what's been going on, the better. And the fact of the matter is that, there are enough people that know about the truth right now (and all of them are people that could feasibly do something if someone else finds out who is outside of their circle ... baring the federal government finding out).
I kind of didn't hate Luis' associate in this episode (even though I tend to lean toward hating her in most of the episodes that she's appeared in). Gotta respect the loyalty that was going on with what she tried to do ... and the fact that she was able to swallow her dislike of Rachel enough to try to get Rachel's help for what was going on. I think this may be the only time that I say that I don't want her to be sacked (since she was working out of the right place).

'Heartburn' -- Suits 3x14
Warning: Spoiler Alert
I am sad that Luis and his girlfriend broke up, but it seemed like the two of them were bound for failure (despite just how perfect they were for each other). The fact that the two of them being together would have made it that much harder for Mike and everyone to keep Mike's secret from getting out to more people, it felt like the writers weren't going to keep the two of them together (if for nothing more than to make sure that the temptation wasn't there for Luis to start asking questions later on when/if the temptation struck him).
When Rachel started doing the "I'm asking about my friend" thing with Luis, I seriously wanted to shake the two of them. Her for not just coming straight out and tell him exactly what she was talking about, cuz you know he's not the type to pick up on social cues. And him for being so completely oblivious about what's going on right in front of him. He should have been able to tell that something was bothering her. But he's never been one who has picked up on how other people are feeling, even in the best of times (and since he was feeling so good about having survived his heart attack, he was a little bit more self involved than he normally is ... but I don't suppose that I can blame him for that. I can't say that I wouldn't be at least a little bit self involved if something like that happened).
I wonder, however, if the promise of paying for Rachel's school was actually something that Luis was going to do on his own (without the knowledge or consent of Jessica). I wouldn't put it past him to pay for her schooling out of his own pocket, seeing as how he does like and care about her (even if he is a bit oblivious about things that are actually going on). Hell, it was his friendship with her that got him to agree to Mike's demands in the first place when she and Mike where trying to get him to stop with his transcripts (sure, it didn't work out the way that they planned, but she was at least able to get him to do something that Mike would not (and could not) have been able to get him to do).
If she hadn't been so hurt by what Luis had said, I think that Rachel and Luis would have been able to clear everything up right then. I really do think that there is a giant misunderstanding going on between the two of them, and if they could just broach the subject with each other, things would be ok between the two of them again.
Donna was awesome as always. It made me happy that even though she and Luis don't always see eye-to-eye on stuff (and he has a tendency to get on her nerves), she understood that when he said that he didn't want visitors, he wanted her to be there ... and that he really did want her there. I'm glad that she went to see him, cuz I don't think that anyone else would have (well, besides the girlfriend ... who is now the ex-girlfriend), and I think that he needed people to be with him right then (or at least, one or two, so that he understood that he wasn't forgotten). I also really dug the fact that as soon as she saw the ex crying by the elevator, she understood what had happened, went to him, and just sat with him. Sometimes when bad things happen, you just need someone to be quiet with you.
Also, as much shit as they tend to give him (and it's shit that he really does deserve), it made me happy that he understood that he really is family there. I really think that's something that he needs, cuz I'm not sure how much he has in the way of family and friends (and everyone needs a connection with someone else).
I like the way that the preview for this episode tried to make you wonder who it was who had the heat attack (and by that, I mean that the way that the preview was cut was kind of tired, in that it was kind of the same as all of the other previews that try to be sneaky). The way that they put it together, it looked like they were trying to make you wonder if it was actually Harvey who had the attack, but the fact that they were trying to be so sneaky about who it happened to (and were so obvious about not showing Harvey in the preview) made me sure that it wasn't him. I didn't think that it would have been Luis either, but that was more cuz I wasn't really thinking of him during the preview; I was more just sure that it wasn't going to be Harvey.

'Moot Point' -- Suits 3x13
Warning: Spoiler Alert
I have a feeling that this whole thing with Luis is going to come between Harvey and Scotty, and I'm not sure that I'd be entirely sad if it did. Scotty has kind of grown on me, but I can't see the two of them lasting with each other for very long (despite the fact that they seem to like each other so much). The two of them are both far too much Type A to last all that long with each other. The both of them would probably work at least a little bit better with someone who was a bit more Type B. I still wish that Harvey would end up with Donna, but I know that that isn't something that is going to happen any time soon.
I have a feeling that something may come of Mike having no license. The whole thing with Jessica calling him into her office to want him to take his name completely off of the case so that Harvey could do the interview without having the reporter want to talk to Mike (and then, him saying that things were always going to be like that, and Jessica essentially telling him "duh, smart guy) makes me suspicious that something more is about to happen ... and not just something that they're going to be able to brush under the rug like they've been able to up until this point. But then, you've got to expect that they aren't going to be able to get away with him practicing law (and at least four other people in the office realizing that's what he's doing) without there being consequences. Something is going to have to happen because of that.
And once Luis finds out ... I can't decide whether or not he would be on the gang's side. He certainly has the capacity to be a prick (and to make everything far harder for them then it needs to be), but I can also see him being completely loyal to anyone who might decide to be half-way decent to him (regardless of his history with them ... just take what's been happening with him and Harvey recently. The two of them have hated each other for years, but they've started to become friends recently).
It would actually be kind of fun if someone else found out about the secret. Sure, other people finding out would/could mean the end of the series if it meant that the Man found out about what has been happening, since that would mean that people would be arrested all over the place (including the two people who have their name on the door), but there's only so long that this can be kept under wraps without it being leaked; and the fact is that even if something like this could theoretically be kept under wraps for years in real life, in TV time, that shit isn't going to be kept secret for as long.
Why am I kind of hoping that the Man finds out what's been going on? Or at least that there is an investigation of some sort and someone almost finds out? It would be delicious.

'Yesterday's Gone' -- Suits 3x12
Warning: Spoiler Alert
I'm really glad that Luis ended up letting the whole thing go about Mike's grade in the supposed class that he took. He could have made things really messy for Mike ... and for Harvey, and Jessica, and Donna, and Rachel ... and that would have made everything bad for him in the end as well. Of course, he didn't realize that when he started going after Mike for the fake grade that he got in the class, but that's what would have probably ended up happening in the end (since the two people with their names on the door would have ended up getting their licenses stripped on top of probably getting some jail time for knowing that Mike was practicing law without a license). So, even if their firm survived the fall out that would have created, there would have been a free for all in the aftermath of the arrests.
We hear so little about Harvey's family, but we know that he's super loyal to them ... and the peoples at work seem to know that if he mentions the fam, they need to just let him go (even if they understand that whatever he's saying that he's going to go take care of something with one of them, they just need to let him go). But knowing those things (plus, the one or two other things that we know about them), I really want to know some more about them. We finally got to see Harvey's dad earlier in this season, which I'm glad for, but I am really curious to see his brother as well. The two of them seem to be close ... well, maybe "close" isn't the right word. There is at least some love there (from Harvey toward his brother, but whether his brother loves him back, we wouldn't be able to tell unless we were able to meet his brother), but the fact that we've never encountered his brother makes me wonder if there's more to their story than we've been led to believe. And the fact that his mom is so completely out of the picture makes me wonder what's going on with her. But then, if they brought in his family a bunch, there might be a great deal of disappointment, since Harvey has kind of been built up as being someone who is super cool and aloof (even while he's also presented as being totally loyal to the people that he considers to be part of his circle).
Donna can never not be awesome, not matter what is going on. Sorry, that's just how she roles. I love the fact that she knows what Scotty's middle name is, even while Harvey thinks that he knows what it is. But of course she knows. How could she not? She's fucking Donna, and she knows everything that goes on. Saying that she wouldn't know something like that would be like saying that staring into the sun won't make you go blind. It's just a fact of nature. And even while I want to shake Rachel a lot of the time, I'm glad that Donna saw that stuff was bothering her and went over to try and comfort her (cuz she could have just as easily pretended like she didn't know what was going on).

'Buried Secrets' -- Suits 3x11
Warning: Spoiler Alert
At some point, Harvey is going to have to take it a little more seriously that Luis has started getting suspicious about Mike not going to Harvard. Donna is good at being able to run people around in circles (cuz she's just fucking awesome and ginger that way), but even as amazing as Donna is, you can't take for granted that Luis is a sneak. The fact is that he is so normally suspicious about everything and everyone should make the others more aware of what he might or might not do ... and it isn't as though he hasn't been dancing around the information for a while.
And knowing that he is a giant sneak, Donna and Harvey should have been aware that it was likely that he would have opened up Mike's "transcripts" to find out what was on there (since he would have probably have wanted to gloat over how well he did in the classes, to prove that he was better than Mike at something ... which is exactly what he ended up doing). It's a good thing that Mike was able to get the fake transcripts to begin with, but now we know that the chick that put them together for him didn't know enough about the people and classes that were involved with what she was trying to fake to be able to pull the wool over everyone's eyes.
I have a feeling that at a certain point, Jessica is going to have to get involved with what's going on with this to get Luis to back off before he figures everything out. If not that, I think she's going to have to get involved so that they can get Luis in the fold so that he doesn't end up telling someone else about what is going on.
The whole thing with Mike wanting to get revenge on the lawyer who told his gram about what happened to his parents ... the guy had a point about Mike turning into him with the case that they were both working on. He had gotten so caught up in trying to get revenge on that lawyer for how things went down that he wasn't really thinking about what it was that he was doing to the woman that was involved (and how he might have been hurting her over the memory of her husband). Hopefully the wake up call really did sink in, and he won't go back to that place again. That doesn't mean that he won't get angry about stuff anymore, or he won't still have resentments, but at least now he might be able to think about what he's doing and how it might hurt other people who are in the same situation that he was in at one point.

'Stay' -- Suits 3x10
Warning: Spoiler Alert
I don't know why it was that when I heard "Stanford," what I actually heard was "Harvard." So, Rachel still didn't get into the school that she would have needed to go to, and I should have remembered which school it was. That's my bad. But I suppose at least she's gotten the promise from Jessica to wave that rule about which school they're allowed to go to if they want to work at that particular firm, so she'll get to stay ... but I feel like that is going to come back to bite Jessica in the ass at some point. If/when other people realize that Rachel got hired after going to (Columbia, I'm assuming) not-Harvard, I have a feeling that there might be other people who would want to exploit that fact (regardless of the special circumstances that were involved with her getting a position as an attorney with the firm).
I'm still a bit annoyed with Rachel, and I won't lie that I would have liked it if there would have been a bit of a cooling off period with her (where she went to Stanford for a year or two). But I suppose that without her, there wouldn't be anyone that would be able to keep Luis in check. Yes, Jessica is able to do it to a certain extent, but it's not the same. When it's Jessica, it's like a parent coming in and smacking him on the nose (and kids don't always listen to the parents). But when Rachel does it, it's more like a younger sibling, and I think that he actually listens to her a little bit more than he would someone else.
I was super glad that Harvey has learned enough at this point to be able to put aside his pride and tell Luis the things that Luis needed to hear, and I have a feeling that those things coming from Harvey are going to have more impact than if they came from someone else (cuz of the history that the two of them have with each other). If Harvey hadn't been able to step up like that (and do what Jessica suggested that he do), I don't think that Luis would have been willing to do as much as he would have otherwise. Sure, blondie had managed to convince him to at least do a little bit of the right thing, but hearing Harvey tell him the things that he needed to hear only ensured that he would be on Harvey's side. And I have the feeling that if Harvey continues to be able to put his own crap aside, Luis may be willing to back him in most anything. I keep getting the feeling that he's kind of like a neglected kid who will do anything for the grown-up who gives him the attention that he most desires.

'Bad Faith' -- Suits 3x09
Warning: Spoiler Alert
Normally I really like Rachel, but in this episode I wanted to pull her hair so very, very hard. All I could think was that she was one of those stupid bitches who can't seem to be happy about anything, and who insists on throwing eighteen fits about every damn thing.
Ok, I'm not sure that I would exactly thrilled if someone I possibly cared about used me against someone else that I possibly cared about, but I don't know that Mike using her in a roundabout way should have made her freak out so badly and make her talk about how she didn't know if she wanted to move in with him.
But then, I suppose that we found out why she was all over his case about everything for pretty much the entire episode ... she had gotten into Stanford, and she already knew that she was going to go (cuz let's face it, she is going to go). But that is something that I really don't like about Rachel. She is one of those girls who demands that the guy she is with be totally and completely honest with her (the way that she was all over Mike about his big secret last season ... yeah), but she'll keep secrets of her own and act like it's ok for her, but not for him. It's one of those things that makes me want to pull her hair. Hard.
I may be able to appreciate that she is smart, and that she is so patient with Luis (even when he's being a jerk), but I really am not digging how high maintenance she can be.

'Endgame' -- Suits 3x08
Warning: Spoiler Alert
So, I guess that we’re finally done with the murder trial, and on a certain level, I’m kind of glad (since they don’t typically spend so much time on only one trial that the gang is dealing with), but it also means that I’m not going to be able to see either of my homeslices from “Game of Thrones” anymore. Even though I would love to see Darby on the show for a little while longer, I have to give it up to Jessica and Harvey for being able to figure out a way to get rid of him so succinctly.
What was so kind of fantastic about that was that it didn’t look like Darby had any idea that they were even planning such a thing, which was totally good on them. But I don’t see why it was that he wouldn’t think that they wouldn’t plan on trying to get rid of him. The fact is that he came into the firm cuz Jessica was trying to get rid of Daniel, so he should have known that she would have been willing to do that sort of thing to people, and that he wouldn’t be exempt from her doing it to him as well.
I would have loved it if they would have been able to figure out a way to rightly get Steven on what he had done, instead of having to lie and get him in a round-about way. Sure, they were still able to get him, but it still felt a bit too much like cheating for my tastes. But I suppose that we should be grateful for what we get when it’s about him. Also, I loved the fact that Donna was the one that was able to let him know that he had been caught (that it was part of the deal that was struck). It made things that much more awesome cuz of how much he hurt her. Poor little ginger.
When she was waiting by the car, I’ll admit that I wanted her to hook up with Harvey, even if I knew that it wasn’t going to happen again. The way that the two of them look out for each other all the time, even when they’re upset with each other, it makes me kind of want something more to happen between them (even if it’s completely unrealistic). I guess that I’ll just have to be happy with the fact that the two of them are friends again, and Harvey isn’t upset about Steven anymore (or that he at least doesn’t appear like he’s upset about that anymore), cuz I don’t like it when the two of them aren’t a team.
Speaking of teams, I am always pleasantly surprised whenever Rachel and Luis have bonding moments. It makes me all kinds of happy that he has someone that he feels like he can connect with (and that he can open up to), and that he is willing to listen to her when she tells him that he is way out of bounds (especially since she seems to be the only one that he actually listens to when that happens). I get the feeling that the only reason that he listens to her is that he feels like she actually cares about him, and she has his best interest at heart. Harvey tells him things that are true all the time, but cuz of their rivalry, I don’t think that Luis is ever going to listen to Harvey, and not just cuz Harvey is so confrontational whenever he says anything. And it’s awesome, too, that giving Luis a friend in Rachel, the writers are giving him a chance to be something other than a one-trick-pony when it comes to him having a rivalry with Harvey. Now, he has the chance of becoming more of a well-rounded character.

'She's Mine' -- Suits 3x07
Warning: Spoiler Alert
So, everything has now come to a head, and we find out what was really going on with the supposed bribe that was made. Well ... it was a bribe, but just not from the people that we thought that it was actually from. And, in a way, I' really glad to find out that it was Steven, since I had started to not care for what was going on between him and Harvey. Plus, him leading the DA to the exact person that he needed to make everything sticky for the gang was pretty suspicious. If he was really the "fixer" that dude claimed that he was, such a rookie move probably wouldn't have happened.
And what makes things even worse is that he hurt Donna cuz of what he did. Making Donna cry ... not cool, man, not cool. Makes it that much more significant that she's such a hard-nose, and he got enough under her skin to have that effect on her. With all of her "Donna skills," it's surprising that she didn't see this coming, but I suppose that even she has to have a few moments where things get past her ... even if she is Donna. And it still seems like the best idea to get to Harvey (and make sure that everything he was trying to do was undetected) by going through Donna; it's the way that he would probably least expect it, and that's how it ended up.
Harvey laying the beat-down on Steven after Donna apologized to him ... I'm really glad that happened. It wasn't just that I was waiting for it, or that I was glad for Donna ... it was that he was the reason that everything bad had been happening with their case. So, really, on several different levels, he had it coming ... hard.
Also, it makes me happy that Donna broke up with him prior to any of the information about what he was doing came out. At least she has that under her belt, right? It makes everything just a little more satisfying that she was able to at least have that before everything else went down.
I have a feeling that something more is going to come of this whole thing, but I am not sure what it is, especially since Steven is basically Harvey on the other side of the ocean. I think that maybe, this season is going to end with them finally winning this case, and next season may be all about how to get themselves out of the deal that Jessica made to save the firm.

'Shadow of a Doubt' -- Suits 3x5
Warning: Spoiler Alert
I'm glad that it turned out that Donna was worrying over nothing when it came to her super happy play time with Steven, and how Harvey would take it. It's too bad that she thought that there would be an issue between her and Harvey cuz of what was going on with and Steven ... not that I am surprised seeing as how he was so pissy with her when she tried to tell him before. But I did not think that it was at all cool that Steven tried to use her against Harvey, and she had every reason to be pissed at him for doing that. It made me want to pinch him, even if his accent makes me all kinds of happy on the inside. Doing that is such a huge no-no.
The whole thing with Rachel applying to Stanford ... didn't we already go through this last season? Back when Luis was dating that blond from the admissions office there ... when she didn't make it through the interview process? What's going to have changed between then and now (especially when the time on the show isn't real time, and even though that happened last season, it's really only been a few weeks or so) that would have made them put her back through the admissions process when it's the same school year? I'm just confused as to why she would have been trying to get back again so soon, instead of trying to wait until next year. Maybe I'm just missing something? Or it could be that the writers aren't thinking about continuity (which the writers of this show have been pretty good about).
I'm glad that Mike was able to meet Rachel's parents, but I kind of think that he got off a little bit easy with them (seeing as how her dad is such a bulldog). Yeah, her mom was probably making sure that he played nice with the new boyfriend, but I'm kind of surprised that her dad didn't ask Mike anything about Stanford ... which would probably have made him suspicious, when Mike wouldn't be able to answer anything correctly. But maybe the fact that Rachel was acting so cagey with her mom (when Mike and her dad were out back) will make her mom suspicious about Mike ... which will lead her dad to look into him. Anyone finding out that he isn't actually licensed to practice law (who isn't part of their circle of trust) would probably lead to bad things for Mike (and the show), so maybe the writers aren't going to go down that road (in they are afraid that they might paint themselves into a corner).
And in the midst of Harvey trying to get rid of Jessica, she decides that she's going to put his name n the wall ... something fishy is going on there. I get the feeling that maybe she got word that Harvey was up to something ... she may not have found out that he's trying to get rid of her exactly, but she may figure that he's unhappy and is up to something (cuz she knows him well enough). And even though it's nice to have his name on the wall, I don't want it to happen yet, cuz he hasn't earned it yet ... and as it is now, it's a bribe (no matter how it's wrapped) to keep him in his place. That may not mean as her pet bulldog, but it could still mean keeping him inside the firm (where she can at least try to continue to control him).
'Unfinished Business' -- Suits 3x03
Warning: Spoiler Alert
Ok, first of all ... I can't stand blondie ... I can't remember her name, and I really can't be bothered to go look it up, cuz I kind of hate her (and don't want her name stuck in my head for all of eternity). I really wish that she wasn't now on Team Litt (even if she kind of blackmailed her way onto the team), since I would love it if Luis was able to get past all of his petty stuff ... and even more that he was able to get beyond how kind of naïve he is. I have a feeling that if he had himself a Donna, things might be different for him. Sure, he would still have his prick tendencies, but he would at least be able to have someone there would look out for him (not just from others, but from himself to) and to make sure that he didn't alienate himself from too many people.
And I'm not at all sorry for the fact that I'm glad that Harvey yelled at blondie. She should stop treating people the way that she does ... like when she keeps treating Rachel like crap for being a paralegal ... or when she secretly records conversations. It makes me want to pull her hair. Seriously.
Second ... Donna and Stephen Huntley ... YOWZAH!! I love, love, LOVE that he's pursuing her, and that he seems to be just her type. I seriously want the two of them to get together and have lots of wild sex together. And I want him to lavish her with gifts and be amazing to her in all of the ways that Harvey should have been but wasn't (and I'm not just talking about the romantic aspect of it, cuz you can't force someone to feel what they can't get themselves to feel ... I'm also talking about the friendship stuff, since there have been times when it came to the way that he's treated her that has made me want to smack him upside the head). And even if the two of them decide that they don't work romantically, I would still love it if they were able to be friends ... friends who have happy fun sexy time with each other every once in a while after they've gone to see The Scottish Play. Speaking of The Scottish Play, boo! on the writers for not calling it The Scottish Play (and calling it by its actual name). Tempting fate, bitches. lol And I don't believe for a second that they would have thought that people wouldn't have "gotten" the reference they were making, since the writing is so smart, and they don't ever talk down to the audience.
'I Want You to Want Me' -- Suits 3x02
Warning: Spoiler Alert
You know, the more that we have interactions with Luis, the more I feel sorry for him. The man has absolutely no idea of how to interact with other people, and it's making it so that he can't really have friends. And in those instances when he tries to be friends with someone, it always ends up blowing up in his face ... granted, he does it to himself a lot of the time (like with dude from England that is now in charge of the Associates) ... but some of the time, it's through no fault of his own. I kind of hoped that things would work out between him and Mike, and the two of them would start working together, since I think that Luis really does like Mike, and the two of them might have been able to work really well together (especially after they won that case together), but the show probably wouldn't have worked if Mike and Harvey hadn't made up with each other (since it really all comes down to the two of them at the center of everything, and it's their relationship that is really what is interesting). But that doesn't mean that I didn't feel really bad for Luis when he saw Harvey and Mike making up, and he had that cake in his hands (even before I saw what was written on it). He had just been so excited about the possibility of working with Mike (and even went out of his way to go watch Jerry Mcguire) that it made his disappointment (and hurt feelings) even that much sadder.
It makes me want there to be someone there for Luis now. He had Rachel for a while ... and then, Mike ... but that's not the same (even if they both seem to realize that he really isn't the douche that everyone thinks that he is). It would be really nice if there was someone who was there for him all the time, who wasn't afraid of him the way that most of the associates are, who could see how desperately he needs to have a friend, and who isn't going to be intimidated by Harvey (or by extension Donna).
And even if Mike and Harvey have "made up," I don't think that this isn't going to come back to bite Mike in the ass again later on ... despite the fact that it was thrown into Harvey's face that sometimes people do things cuz they think that they don't have a choice, and that they don't do it cuz they don't like someone. Also, I think that there may be some problems between Rachel and Donna now that Donna has admitted that she had said that Mike should break things off with Rachel (beside the fact that she refused to step in for Mike, cuz she didn't think that Harvey should forgive him ... or really, that "they" shouldn't forgive him).
Also, I don't see Harvey forgiving Jessica ... probably ever, and he's I see him either taking her down, or figuring out a way to get out of his contract so that he can go into business for himself. I really see Harvey and Jessica's relationship coming down to her liking being in charge, and liking the idea of having him chained up in the backyard ... only to let him out to go tearing after the neighbor kids if their ball gets in her yard. I really don't see her thinking of him as anything more than a Pit Bull/Doberman/German Shepard ... some kind of dog that one might use in a military/home defense scenario. If things hadn't changed after Mike got there, I don't think that they ever would have (and I get the feeling that Mike may have been the catalyst ... it probably would have happened eventually, but I get the feeling that it was him that ultimately was the cause). But I don't see how she would have thought that things would have stayed that way forever.
You know what I would kind of love to see? After the battle between Harvey and Jessica that is bound to happen ... to see them all standing around in a pile of rubble that was once their office building. Not just figuratively ... literally. I want the entire building to be turned to rubble after their fight, and for Harvey, Donna, Rachel, and Mike to go on to start their own firm ... and for them to take Luis along with them. I know that it isn't going to happen that way, but it would still be all kinds of fantastic.
'The Arrangement' -- Suits 3x01
Warning: Spoiler Alert
"Suits" is back!! Hizzah!! I love this show!! So much fun. And the thing is, I think that I love it more for the interactions between the characters, and the funny (and completely random)references to pop culture, than for the actual overall plot of the show ... which is still interesting.
I was so happy that we got psyched out about Rachel telling on Mike for practicing law without having gone to Harvard, or having gotten his license. Usually that sort of thing gets on my nerves, but I don't want the show to take that turn with Mike's character (and especially not have it be Rachel that tells on him, since I want the two of them to be together). I should have realized that we were being psyched out with that, since that would probably end the show, and I don't see the writers doing anything to jeopardize the success; this seems to be one of the more popular shows on USA, and when you have something that's doing well (and which has only been going for a couple of years), it doesn't seem likely that you'd want to send it down a road that would end it all.
I really, really, really want Mike to get back together with Harvey and Donna. Really. I don't like it that they're fighting. I kind of want to shake Mike, and tell him that he should have seen something like this coming; Donna is going to back Harvey. Period. Harvey isn't going to take what he sees as disloyalty (regardless of whether or not the person doing it thought that they would get boned in the process) very lightly. And I'm kind of surprised that Mike didn't realize that there really wasn't going to be a way for Jessica to send out anything that would have damaged him last season (since he's such a smart guy). If she really had sent out that paper that supposedly would have given away his secret about practicing law without a license, she would have gotten in trouble for knowing about it and not doing anything about it. And really, how hard would it have been for him to go on the stand at some sort of hearing after the secret came out, and tell everyone that she knew (regardless of how long she knew) that he was a fraud. With his memory, he would have been able to give dates and times of when she knew and how much she knew. Even if she didn't end up with jail time as well (which I'm sure he would, if/when it ever comes out), she would most likely end up loosing her license; and if by some miracle, she was able to keep it, it doesn't seem likely that she would be able to keep practicing (once people started finding out, she would probably be kicked out of her firm, and would probably be unable to get any clients).
And Mike probably would have been reluctant to say anything about Harvey and Donna telling, but I have a feeling that his honesty streak would have gotten them in trouble as well. Jessica probably wouldn't care if that came back to bite Harvey (or Donna) in the ass, but she would certainly care if it came back to bite her. It's kind of crazy how much things have changed between Jessica and Harvey. In the beginning, she liked him (and he was her pet); but as time has gone on, it seems more and more like she keeps getting pissed off with him. But that probably has a lot to do with the fact that he seems to be less likely to just roll over and take whatever she gives him (regardless of how crappy it might be).
I can see there being an all-out war between Harvey and Jessica this season ... something that there probably isn't going to be any coming back from. Once she realizes that he's trying to get rid of her, either she's going to be driven out or he is. Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!
Yeah, I'm really glad that this show is back on the air.
